So this morning I woke up to a notification telling me it’s two weeks until we’re off to France, which means the holiday prep has now begun!!!!!
Two weeks today we will be getting up crazy early and driving to the ferry port in Dover, about a 6-hour drive with a breakfast stop. We’re taking a ferry over to Calais and then have a further 3-hour-ish drive to our Eurocamp site (we’re staying in a caravan).
We’re staying there for four nights so plan on spending the day we arrive and the day we leave on the camp site as there is stuff to do there. We have ‘2-day 2-park’ tickets to Disneyland Paris, purchased through Travel Republic, and then plan to spend the other day in Paris city centre.
I’m such a big kid when it comes to anything Disney, and I’ve not been since 2001, so I am obviously super excited. I can’t wait for all the rides, but more importantly I can’t wait to take photos with all the Disney characters!!!
Paris is also my favourite city so I can’t wait to go back. We plan on climbing the Eiffel Tower, visiting the Louvre and having lunch in my favourite restaurant (I can’t remember the name but it’s an old soup kitchen which is now a big restaurant).
As with any holiday, it’s an excuse to go shopping. My holiday shopping is now almost complete, I’m just waiting for one t-shirt to arrive and need to pick up a fleecy blanket to take to the caravan.
Here is my Disney shopping haul:
Ladder; backpack – ebay. Badges, Chip purse & Minnie Mouse wash bag set – Primark. Tinkerbell weekend bag: Cath Kidston. Converse – Schuh. Minnie Mouse slippers, Chip t-shirt, Mickey Mouse t-shirt, Mickey Mouse jumper, & black ripped jeans – Primark. Blue ripped jeans – Matalan. Mickey Mouse pajamas & Chip pajamas – Primark.
